Volunteer
By donating time and energy, you can make a meaningful contribution to our organization and the prairie.
We have several volunteer opportunities throughout the year. The Southern Plains Land Trust organizes volunteer weekends at the Heartland Ranch Nature Preserve in springtime and fall, during which volunteers bring their own tents, food and drinking water. Email info@southernplains.org for more information. We also partner with Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado partnership and the Mile High Youth Corps, who have special programs and requirements.
In the past, volunteers have helped with fence removal and habitat restoration projects out in the field, as well as providing assistance at events and by hosting fundraisers. Opportunities vary based on the season and need.
